A Nanny Trained to International Standards, Grounded in Qatari Identity

Qatar Nanny Training Academy (QNTA) integrates the NCFE CACHE Level 1 Award in an Introduction to Early Years Settings into its training programme

Since its establishment in 2012, Qatar Nanny Training Academy (QNTA) has continued to strengthen its training provision in line with international best practices in childcare, equipping nannies with the knowledge and skills needed to meet the evolving demands of their profession.

As part of its ongoing efforts to advance the professional preparation of nannies, QNTA has integrated the NCFE CACHE Level 1 Award in an Introduction to Early Years Settings into its training programme. The qualification provides students with a foundation in early years settings, broadening their understanding of children’s needs, development, learning and care, as well as the importance of creating appropriate environments that support their growth and development.

The qualification forms part of an integrated training approach that not only draws on international best practices but also adapts them to the context of Qatari society. Alongside the NCFE CACHE qualification, the Academy has, since its establishment, delivered a specialised New Zealand curriculum focused on early childhood. The curriculum has been developed and adapted to reflect Qatar’s culture, community values and the needs of families in the country.

Through this approach, QNTA combines professional preparation informed by international standards with educational practices tailored to the Qatari identity. Its graduates gain the knowledge and practical skills needed to provide informed, high-quality care that supports children’s development and learning, while nurturing their values and national identity from an early age.
