Qatar Nanny Training Academy Resumes Community Training Workshops
Qatar Nanny Training Academy has resumed offering a range of training workshops to the community at the Academy building from Thursday, October 1, 2020, as part of the gradual return to the norm in the State of Qatar, while continuing adherence to the precautionary measures currently in place in line with the instructions issued by the state authorities to curb the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Academy had earlier launched some training workshops for the community through the virtual platform of the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, all in line with the restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Those workshops were well received by mothers, educators and those interested in the childcare and upbringing, as they offered rich materials on educational subjects by distinctive methods of presentation.
Child Safety Basics
This workshop dealt with many topics and themes under the umbrella of home and outdoor safety measures, and the role of nannies in protecting children from the dangers they might face.
The trainer presented illustrated models of the various types of environments surrounding the child in the house and outside it (e.g. nursery, school, car, elevator, hotel, exposure to sunlight, swimming pool, etc.). The presented illustrations explained the dangers of each environment and offered smart solutions to avoid them.
Discussions and dialogues were also organized for the trainees on the their role to draw up proactive plans to protect children from such potential risks, and the importance of creating safe environments that are exciting for them. Some useful practices of security and safety conditions were also presented.
The trainees enriched the workshop with their previous experiences, and the experiences they gained through their presence in some training workshops at the Academy, which contributed to enhancing their job performance in terms of increasing awareness and enjoying a sense of responsibility towards the children they care for. This is by following smart and easy-to-apply methods in order to secure environments suitable for the needs of children according to their age, taking into account the conditions of security and safety.
The trainees, at the end of the workshop, expressed their willingness to attend more similar workshops because of their benefit which positively enhances the professional development of their performance.
